Wrens, Robins and Larks had a wonderful trip to Tynemouth beach and Aquarium last Friday. They really enjoyed seeing all of the different sea creatures such as sting rays, fish and sea horses! They watched the Seal Show and found out lots of information about them, and they also took part in a workshop about habitats which linked in with our science topic. The best part of the day was walking through the tunnel with the sharks swimming over our heads – and of course we were very excited to get onto the beach!!
This week the Swifts have been learning about the important of the stem on the plant and how the water travels through the plant. They then developed their concepts of the plant cycle, learning all about the different types of seed dispersal and went on a Science walk to test out our enquiry for whether seeds will cling to us like they would for an animal. We were shocked at what did stick and what didn’t!
Owls
The Owls had a fantastic time on their residential to Lockerbie Manor. It is always wonderful to see the children engaging in new activities, experiences and develop new skills.
Pictures of this week’s Titanic performance will be added next week. Thank you again for coming along to support the children. Weren’t they just fantastic!
