Wrens have been mixing their own paints this week. I wonder… can they tell you what happens if they add white to black?
Robins have had such a busy first week back to school! I was super impressed with their Team work in Geography where they were exploring the different continents and then even managed to find animals from around their classroom environment and place them on the map. It was lovely to see them working collaboratively and so focused and engaged in their learning. Fantastic.
Larks have been measuring in their maths lessons this week- using standard and non standard units. They have also enjoyed some outdoor PE lessons practicing their catching and throwing skills, and in science explored our school grounds to investigate plants. What a busy start Swifts- well done.
Swifts have also enjoyed their practical science this week- exploring reflective and non reflective light and sound. They made shadows, observed changes in sound, measured the distance of the sounds they made and even had a go at using mirrors to see over and around corners. Also, a big well done and thank you to Abigail and her Daddy for taking the time to make our school a beautiful bird box for our nature area. We think its brilliant!
To say Owls are excited this week is an understatement!! They are in the process of designing a school growing and gardening area as well as preparing for… school chickens!! Mrs Porter and Miss Holywell are equally as excited . This week Annabelle’s Mum brought in 9 duck eggs too that they have carefully placed in the incubator… watch this space!!
