Wrens and Robins have had another busy week. Their outdoor maths learning has proved to be very popular and they are confidently using their natural objects to make their own number lines to sort and count on and back. Check out their genius shoe storage design using empty cardboard boxes- I just love it!!Wrens had fun on their weekly outdoor adventure to the woods exploring water, sand and the natural world around them. They have such a wonderful time and as always are a real pleasure to take out!
Larks have been getting their creative hats on and working collaboratively to make the teepees they designed last week. Don’t they look amazing!! They’ve also enjoyed exploring Bowes Museum grounds looking for wild and garden flowers, even taking their own photographs. Well done Larks.
Swifts have explore shadow this week in science. They took advantage of the sun shining outside as well as creating shadow stations in their classroom too. They enjoyed getting creative to make shadow puppets and learnt how shadows are formed, as well as why shadows aren’t formed. I hope they can tell you!
Owls have been making 3D shapes this week in maths… with marshmallows! They have explored nets of different prisms and pyramids. They have produced some amazing artwork linking to ways animals are adapted to their environment. Wow Owls- what artists you all are. Well done!
